South Dakota Tourism - Sold on South Dakota
President’s Day has been taken over by mattress and car sales. All using Mount Rushmore as the main visual. To take advantage of everyone using Mount Rushmore in their ads, we jumped on the band wagon and promoted South Dakota tourism the same way. We join in on the fun, and had a blowout President’s Day event in the spirit of a mattress or car sale.
We created a landing page, wall graphics, fake South Dakota money for the prize machine, social posts and tons of posters and swag. Sold on south Dakota’s president’s day campaign generated more than 17 million impressions, resulting in nearly 20,000 travel bookings in the state as a result. The activation drew almost 100,000 people.
